Vanessa Rybicka

I founded my firm in 2005 because I am good at solving problems and I enjoy working with families.  Working in this capacity has allowed me to learn a lot about families: families with children, families without children, families from other countries, families that have domestic violence issues, families that have businesses and significant properties, families that are non-traditional, and families with mental health or disability issues. It has also allowed me to utilize a diverse, legal skill set from helping clients in the litigation route to solving problems by using a neutral to negotiating directly with the other party or opposing counsel.

I enjoy law so much that I volunteer in the community using my legal skills. I have mentored law students at William Mitchell College of Law, my alma mater.  I have also managed some of those students in a pro-bono law clinic where I have taught them about working with clients and the law.  I have coached high school students (St. Thomas Academy) through the Minnesota State Bar Association for the mock trial program. (I have even had the privilege to judge mock trial students at the state tournament with a Minnesota Supreme Court justice.) I provide clients with legal advice though Tubman’s law clinic. I have presented lectures to my peers on ethics and addiction in family law case.  I even blog about family law. Yes, I really enjoy what I do!  If you would like to check out more about my background, please check out my resume

When I am not working, I enjoy living in St. Paul with my rescue dog, Grace (and sometimes a foster puppy), catching a Wild game, spending time with family and friends, hiking up North (Duluth area is my favorite), and practicing yoga.
